I made my mother-in-law’s birthday cake... and got to be in the room when they sang to her 🥹🎂 This is the part nobody tells you about being a cake decorator the moment it stops being “just a cake.”

Atlanta wasn’t just a trip for me — it was preparation.

I traveled to Atlanta for Influence2 Impact: Conversations with Darius Benders and many other industry heavyweights because I wanted to be in a room where growth, business, leadership, influence, and real conversations were happening.

And I left with more than notes.

I was reminded that impact isn’t just about what you know — it’s about how clearly you communicate it, how confidently you show up, and how intentionally you serve the people you’ve been called to help.

I connected with some amazing people, gained new perspective, and came away even clearer about the next season of my business.

Then Sunday gave me exactly what I needed before heading home — time with my cousin Lisa, family, and worship at Lionheart Church.

Business poured into me.
Family refreshed me.
Worship grounded me.

And then I flew back home to Kansas City inspired, focused, and ready.

Because now it’s time.

Passion is a great place to start… but it’s a terrible place to stop.

One of the biggest mistakes I see entrepreneurs make is believing that if they love what they do, the money will automatically follow.

I wish it worked that way.

The reality is, passion alone doesn’t create profit.

You have to ask yourself:

What problem do I solve?

Who is willing to pay to solve it?

How can I become so good at what I do that people see my value before they see my price?

The sweet spot is where what you love, what you’re great at, and what the market actually needs all meet.

That’s where businesses grow.

Because people don’t pay you for your passion.

They pay you for the value your passion creates in their life.

💾 Save this as a reminder: Your passion is the spark, but your skill is what turns it into a business.

What’s one skill you’re developing that will make your passion more profitable?

Check out @nimalupierre She is the perfect example 🤩

Stop bragging about how "busy" you are. Busy doing what your assistant should be doing.

Answering your own emails. Booking your own flights. Chasing your own appointments. That's not hustle. That's you working a job inside your own business.

Here's the truth. An EA doesn't just save you time. They save you money because every hour they take off your plate is an hour you get to spend making money instead.

My rule? A good EA should buy back at least 30 to 50% of your time. The routine stuff. The mundane stuff. The stuff that doesn't need you at all.

A real EA already knows your calendar better than you do. Your kids' games. Date night. Your doctor's appointments. Even birthdays, so you're not the one trying to remember.

Day one, they sit down, learn your whole week then it's their job to run your calendar and work with your ops manager to keep everything moving without you.

That's what buying back your time looks like. That's freedom.

The hard part isn't knowing you need this. It's finding someone you can actually trust to run your world. We talk more about this inside our community.

Want in on how we do it? Comment GPS and I'll send you free access to our community.
