When I was in Malaysia, I take the bus going to work. There is a free shuttle the office provides so I take advantage of that because, well, it is free. And free is always good! I would see the bus on the opposite street, a sign to me that it is coming. However, since it is on the other side of the road, I still need to wait for it to do a U-Turn in order to pick me up.

That waiting period plays tricks in your head. Even though I know the bus is coming because I have seen it with my own eyes, albeit on the opposite road, the waiting time always messes it up. Sometimes I wonder if it will truly come, or if it went another way. Or is it just my delusion of seeing the bus? Circumstances can also arise like traffic, or accidents or break down, or gas breaks that can delay its coming.

In the end though, the bus always comes.

This reminds me of the promises of God. I know it is coming, and Ive seen it with my own eyes through His Word, experience and through testimonies, however, the waiting period still messes it up. The doubt creeps in. I pray that we take God at His Word. He is faithful and He is trustworthy. He is reliable and He is true.

Whatever promises youre holding on to, He will deliver.

The bus will come.

“So will My Word be which goes out of My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

“Rare Moments in Malaysia” (January 30, 2024) - My accountability leader at church recently reminded me that it is rare to quickly meet people I have connected with easily, with whom I felt the most comfortable speaking, with whom I have the same heart and with whom I felt I have the same spirits. In Filipino, pareho ng diwa. When I do get to meet these people, I must cherish these rare moments.

One absolute moment that I’ve had the chance to meet is Kuya Nano @nano_po_ and Ate Niña @ninacapila Do you know that I’ve never met such kind of people in my life before? And in Malaysia, I saw them for the first time. We connected quickly. Bonded easily. Talked about the most profound life spiritual lessons. From having dinner at Rex KL to the Petronas, even at the grab to the hotel, it seemed to be a never-ending conversation about life, relationship with the Lord, ministry, mission, life in Malaysia, prayer, etc.

During the whole week of my stay in Malaysia, I was never with people whom I felt my most authentic self. And for that one night I’ve had with them, that is something I will never forget. 💯

Thank you very much once again Kuya Nano @nano_po_ Ate Niña @ninacapila . Thank you for all your encouragement and comfort. I hope we will meet each other again.🥰

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM LIZ AT THE SHERWOOD ILLUMINATIONS!

Every year the Sherwoods have a spectacular light display in their gardens (which to be fair is lit up all year round but they ramp it up at Christmas). Even the neighbours join in, but apparently one neighbour's attempts caused them to blow up the house so their garden is in darkness. 😨🤣

Thanks Jo for filming and letting me hide in your garden 😂@sherwoodtherapies @joannesherwood78
