My senior capstone collection🎭✨

I’ve had the honor of being a designer and a marketing director for my last undergraduate fashion show this past month, and it’s been an exhausting journey. Nonetheless, I have no regrets despite the difficulties and learning experiences I’ve gained.

Last year, I visited Venice during the early weeks of my study abroad semester in Italy and simply fell in love with the city. For me, there has been no city more charming than the mainland and islands of Venice. Visiting during the chilly weeks of February allowed me to see la Carnevale di Venezia in full swing, which is the sole inspiration behind my collection. Maschere veneziane, 15-17th century fashion, luxurious brocade, and my lifelong love for fantasy brought these pieces to life.

To my models, Angel, Johnnie, Katherine, Nina, Maeve, and Samirah, I thank you dearly for your patience and for bringing my characters to life. Thank you for coming over for fittings, quick checks, and sticking with me through such a long and exhausting process. I could not have done this show without you all!

A quick thank you is due to my roommates, my friends, and especially my mother who have always showed up for me and supported me through this journey. I love you so much and again, could not have done this without your support.💕

I never thought I could make a collection this big— 5 looks and with such large scale pieces and props. I have never felt so exhausted after the 12-15 hour days sewing and pulling all-nighters, but I hold no regrets! This has been the most rewarding, challenging, and eye-opening project yet, and I am glad to share such a personal piece of art. This collection truly means a lot to me.

Ciao for now! Fino al mio prossimo progetto💃🏽
