![“What happens if we stop thinking of imagination as only a way to point towards a different future and actually use it to start bringing that future into the real world?” asks Bow Ty Enterprises Venture Capital.
During the month of September, Miami based artist duo LIZN’BOW [@liznbow] transformed Times Square into the latest extension of Niñalandia: the artists’ ontofictoverse that melds reality and Latinx + queer futurisms. #ICYMI a special night under the twinkling lights of the electronic billboards featured the artists’ femme reggaeton band Niña joined by puppet masters Poncili Creacion [@poncilicreacion].
Through an inflatable installation, a month-long Midnight Moment takeover, and a live interactive performance, LIZN’BOW imagines what they describe as a vibrant “pro-pocalyptic” future, not a world defined by collapse, but one where communities adapt to uncertainty through humor, mutual care, creative resilience, and collective joy.

![Niñalandia has officially taken over Times Square! 🎀 ‘El Mundo es Niña’ 🎀, an expansive parafictional universe envisioned by Miami-based artist duo LIZN’BOW [@liznbow], transforms Times Square into a multi-part presentation: the premiere of LIZN’BOW’s Midnight Moment video work ‘El Mundo es Niña’ on 100+ electronic billboards, a pair of larger-than-life sculptures, and a live performance premiere.
From September 20-27, visitors can view motifs from LIZN’BOW’s video work expand beyond the billboards onto the plazas through two inflatable sculptures: a 34-foot-long immersive rainbow archway resting on clouds adorned with laughing butterfly-dolphins and floating milk jugs beneath a central emblem combining a butterfly, a Lamborghini, and the Spanish ñ, recurring symbols that bring together transformation, Latin cultural identity, and a critique of excess, and consumer spectacle. Nearby, a 27-foot unicorn-cow riding a jet ski emerges from rising waters. Playful, surreal, and unmistakably “LIZN’BOW”, the inflatable sculptures translate the visual language of El Mundo es Nina into a shared public environment, inviting visitors to gather, linger, and momentarily inhabit the artists’ imagined world.

Embracing the visual language of reggaeton, advertising, celebrity, and mass media, this performance creates a space for queer joy, cultural resistance, and collectivity.
Together with LIZN’BOW’s monumental inflatables, moving image work on the billboards, unreleased music, and premiere performance, these encounters extend their world “Niñalandia” into the streets of Times Square, blurring the boundaries between fantasy and everyday public life.
