Okay, I’ll take a small break from the Alleyoop Unity/Savannah thing for this one. This shirt has nothing to do with skating, but before I stumbled into rollerblading I was just a dork who really liked Star Wars and was trying to BMX like everyone else at the time. I was so stoked when I got my green VFR haha. But mannnn, did I suck at biking 😂. I knocked my 2 front teeth out when I did an awful wheelie in front of the public library cause I was trying to impress a couple older kids hanging outside of the library doors. That did not go well lol. I landed with my handlebars crossed and just kept holding on, so I flung right over the bars (and just continued holding the grips for some stupid reason instead of preparing to catch my fall lol) Boom. Right to my face. Those 2 dudes I was trying to wow with my shitty wheelie skills jumped up and helped me into the library while I was swearing loud as hell haha. I waited in the librarian employee lounge with ice and paper towels on my face until my mom showed up. She left work midday to come save her idiot son from his failed stuntman career. When she got there, I took the ice off my face and said “Look Mom!! I’m roadkill!!” (A quote from The Mask, iykyk) 🤦‍♀️ <———— my mom’s reaction I decided my biking days were done, cause that sucked, and just 2 weeks later while on spring break, I saw a bunch of others in my neighborhood doing tricks on their rollerblades. I rummaged through my older brothers closet and found the black and purple skates he used a couple times and forgot about. Fell in love with blading that week and haven’t looked back since. Wanna know the weirdest thing about this story? For some goofy reason me and my friends all decided to give our bikes names. My bike’s name….? Savannah. Sike biotch, #SavannahAwareness 😂💛 Moral of the story: Do or Do not, there is no try. lol. TRYNO tee available now in the webshop 👽🚲✌️

I remember being 9 years old and seeing the Dookie cover art for the first time at my friends house. I remember thinking how weird and cool it was. Never really was a huge Green Day fan, but that cover always stuck with me. Funny enough, I started rollerblading when I was 9 too. Fast forward a million years later and I’m mashing up memories into something new. 9 year old me would be hyped. This is something I wanted to make when I thought of it after the 23rd Windy City Riot comp went down a couple years ago. I was focused on other things at the time so it didn’t end up happening. I thought about it recently and realized there’s been 23 years between the first riot and the 24th one last year. This jersey celebrates those first 23 years of street skating chaos as well as the 24 WCR champions. Proceeds will be going towards the 25th Windy City Riot taking place on Saturday July 18th 2026.
