CNI Thursday Spotlight: GQ India x Mercedes-AMG E53

For the Mercedes-AMG E53 launch, GQ India took a different route into automotive storytelling. Instead of leading with horsepower and specs, they led with sound.

Working with musician and artist Kavya Trehan, the team built an original track around the car’s character, then shot a film to match it. The result treats the E53 less like a product and more like a mood, with visuals and music moving together instead of one just scoring the other.

And The Impact?
The film brought in 4.1M+ views, clearly striking a chord with an audience that responds to culture-first storytelling.

Okay, we all are very disturbed about the elephant. You definitely know I was. Yet, we are okay with this kind of torture being inflicted every single day upon animals in factory farms, in the oceans etc. Why is that? Have debated with myself, and decided I am going to open this up.

I know the word "vegan" makes many cringe.
I agree, a lot of "vegan" people have gone about this whole topic the wrong way - out of desperation and passion. You can never force someone to change, and shouldn't try to. Because any real change, can only come from within.

I'd like to open this up to you all for the sake of discussion, and/or awareness about the why you choose to eat meat, consume dairy, and support companies that subject animals to awful kinds of torture in labs, for your make up etc. I want to hear you out, understand your reasons.

I am not trying to change the way you eat, live or anything. Your choices are yours alone.

I will share my 'hard core meat eater, dairy consumer etc to vegan' journey with you, eventually.

My review of Mumbai s new jazz cafe @bluebopcafe . A few excerpts from my #BombayTimescolumn today...
Sadly, very few  Mumbai restaurants offer live music (Veranda (Bandra) Toast and Tonic (BKC)  Little Door (Andheri) the newly revamped Eau bar (The Oberoi). Blue bop opened in Bandra and sets the tempo by being committed to  live jazz music (Friday, Saturday), on weekdays too, whenever there are visiting bands. It has a crowd pleaser menu (pizza, salads, gluten free, vegan et al,) generous portions, moderate prices (average dish price Rs 400) and unique cocktails.  Blue Bop hits all the right notes!
I admit. Im a music-maniac, a jazz-junkie. Im also a dyed-in-the-drool foodie. So when I heard that both my passions have come together I was over the moon with joy. Blue Bop café, I was informed by some of my breathlessly happy readers is owned by two siblings. Not only is Eesha Sukhi passionate about food as is  Amar Sukhi, but he also  plays the clarinet, saxophone and understands music. I was excited about this jazz café and checked it out, but what was the general response to it?
