When I work island shifts, this is my morning routine! I try to prioritize physical activity outside of work to clear my head and keep my joints strong and healthy. However, night shifts sometimes makes that really hard. I only got clips of one exercise because I was legit fighting for my life 😂 and didn’t record anything else. (ft. @alisee.daniela) The endurance is not quite there anymore but it’s okay. This was more movement than I did yesterday so! - #blacknurses #explorepage #gymworkout #morningroutine

This post is threefold y’all. First off, frick-and-frat, my daughter and I prayed for her to have a best friend and THIS is what we got. Been besties since the fifth grade so of course she’s my bonus daughter. When it was time to graduate, didn’t matter if it was here, there, or six hours away, we hit the road to be there. Congratulations Nichele, we are so proud of you✨🙌🏾♥️ Now that photo of me and her mama? Whew. It speaks volumes. Two mamas who raised babies, held it down, and earned doctorate degrees along the way. These ain’t just any mamas, these mamas got degrees, okay? And lastly, full circle moment as a former assistant principal of a K-8 magnet school. I got to serve my daughter, her best friend, AND her best friend’s little brother. And let me tell you, if Allen didn’t test every bit of my assistant principal patience back in the day. But now? Look at this grown man standing over me with so much poise, responsibility, and success. Allen, I’m beyond proud of you. This isn’t just a family we know. They are our people. Our bonus family. And always will be🫶🏾
