some of my incomings the past 2 weeks, with fantastic stamps, postmarks, and stories. ☺️ thank you to everyone who swapped with me and sent me surprise cards! got some dragon boat festival ones for my special collection, some series cards, orangutan 🦧😍, Strawberry Shortcake x Pompompurin (how perfect is that color combo 🧡💛🥔!), Miffy, Mofusand, stamp launches… they’re all fantastic. 🥰

3 months to WPD and i’m thinking of what i can send out this year… can’t say i am a fan of the official WPD Paper Bridges design, it’s not quite my style. 😫 but there might be some interesting variations of that theme, and i’d love to find / create a Singapore take!

i’m spending some time in Shizuoka this week and couldn’t resist checking out Sparkling Jubilee at TDS. 💎 it was probably not the cleverest decision i made in terms of timing (aka fresh off a red eye flight and after spending the morning in Ikebukuro), but it was my first time trying out a half day ticket which actually worked out nicely. it definitely was a visit more about the vibes than the rides today. all the 25th anniversary magic is contagious! 💕

i absolutely love the color scheme of Sparkling Jubilee and couldn’t resist getting a bunch of these cards to send out to Disney-loving friends. i wrote them in a hurry so apologies for the super short messages, but i did leave space for the commemorative stamp. 👍💕

some of my last few January incomings… what a great combination of Christmas cheer & New Year greetings. 🤗💕 2026 has galloped away to a quick start, i can’t believe it’s already February! 🗓️ thank you everyone for these wonderful cards. it’s lovely reading about life updates, resolutions, & day to day adventure. ☺️

my 2026 philatelic goals are probably to catch more of our stamp launches and get back into making maxicards. ☺️💮 my maxicard enthusiasm was probably at its peak during Covid, along with CCs. both have taken a bit of a backseat to postcard swaps and collecting series cards, but that’s the fun of our hobby i guess — lots of fun aspects to explore and dabble with. 😋❤️

my younger one is a little jetlagged, so here i am writing postcards even though it’s still daylight out (this almost never happens, because we are big on seizing the day outdoors when there is good weather 😋). we will be exploring North Island over the next few days, which i’m excited about! i think i might be eating oysters at every meal, local seafood is so fresh here. 😍🦪

i read that New Zealand post now does central processing of mail so it’s uncommon for local POs to offer postmarks, but i’m going to try to get this postmark (2nd pic) for these cards written in Auckland if time permits... if not, we will see what the regular postbox brings! 😋 (and yes, i do intend to find all kinds of exciting local art and postcards to send along the way, fingers crossed! 😬🤞🍀)
