💃🏻 Dancing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s one of the very few things that has remained constant through every season of my life — and it continues to be one of my favorite ways to take care of both my body AND my mind. ❤️

Whether I’m dancing alone in a studio, line dancing across the floor, or partner dancing with someone I love, there’s something about dancing that makes the worries of the day disappear. For those few minutes, I can let go of the stress, anxiety, and everything on my to-do list and simply be PRESENT in the moment.

To me, being #MissAmericaFit doesn’t mean being the skinniest or looking a certain way. It means finding ways to move your body that make YOU feel strong, happy, and healthy.

Through our partnership with the American Heart Association, we’re helping set a new standard and redefine what being fit looks like. Because fitness looks DIFFERENT on every body, and it should be adaptable to YOUR life and YOUR schedule. ❤️

Maybe your movement is walking your dog, going to the gym, taking a Pilates class, dancing in your kitchen, or line dancing with your friends. Whatever it is — MOVE in a way that brings you joy.

Being healthy isn’t about fitting into a mold. It’s about finding what makes you feel your best and making it a part of your life.

And for me? I’ll always choose to dance. 🤍💃🏻

💫 Reliving the extraordinary experience we had during the culminating performance of the Black Sacred Music program at the University of Arkansas! To pull off quite a remarkable performance in such a short amount of time is a true testament of the elevated level of artistry that each of these artists possess. Whether you were a part of the band, the choir, a director, a speaker, or working behind the scenes, every single person brought the fullness of themselves and played such a pivotal role in the success of this experience!

I cannot express how blessed I am to work with such outstanding people. The imprint that you all have each placed on my life will linger forever and I am so honored to have walked this journey with such incredible people!

Last Saturday was one for the books. 🧡🎓🛡️

Less than three years ago, we were moving @toribethpoland into her dorm at @hendrixcollege . Two days before this past fall semester - she asks “How would you feel if I graduated a year early”? She believed she could do it - and she did.

In under three years, she graduated with Honors and Distinction in Health Science — an accomplishment that is nothing short of extraordinary. Watching her grow academically, personally, and professionally through research and advocacy during her time there has been such a great privilege. We could not be more proud.

The future is so incredibly bright for her and in her hands. Since graduation, she has already been to DC and back with @ahaarkansas and @every100thheart to advocate for strengthening congenital heart disease research, innovation, and smart policies. ❤️

A big thank you to every single person who came to celebrate and support her. Your love and presence meant more than you will ever know. It made for such a beautiful start to an unforgettable weekend.

Go write your story and chase your plans, sweet girl. We love you.
