Still trying to process the fact that THIS group is going to perform for THE SONU NIGAM tonight. 😭🤯🔥

A dream that we never even dared to dream of
10 years of showing up. Dancing. Creating. Building. Dreaming bigger and bigger.
And tonight, we get to take a little piece of Live2Dance onto one of the biggest stages yet.

No pressure guys… just SONU. FREAKING. NIGAM. 😂🔥

Seattle… remember the name. ❤️
LIVE2DANCE…
LET’S. FREAKING. GOOOOOOOOOOO. 🔥🔥🔥

Found where it all began. 🥹❤️
This is it.

The VERY FIRST Live2Dance Seattle poster I created in 2016.

Before the studio. Before the instructors. Before the shows. Before the stages. Before thousands of people walked through our doors.

There was just… this.

One little poster. One class. One slightly crazy idea.
And absolutely NO idea where any of it was going. ❤️

I remember sitting on PowerPoint making this, simply hoping that a few people would see it and show up to dance with me.

Clearly, aesthetics were NOT a priority. 😂 It’s ridiculously text-heavy. There was no branding strategy. No design sense. I mean.. FUNtastic? LOL

Just “BOOGIE WITH ME TO BOLLYWOOD BEATS” ❤️

And yet, what I couldn’t see then was everything that was hiding behind this little poster…

The people I hadn’t met yet. The friendships that hadn’t formed yet. The memories we hadn’t made yet. The stages we hadn’t danced on yet. The community we hadn’t built yet. The HOME we hadn’t found yet.

All of that… was somehow waiting on the other side of this little PPT poster. 🥹

Ten years later, looking at it feels almost impossible to put into words.
If only the girl who made this poster knew. ❤️

September 2016 → September 2026.

This is where our story began. ❤️

Every event has a marketing team.

Ours apparently chose violence. 😂

Turns out our friends are incredible actors… and even better sports. Huge thanks for saying yes to one of our most ridiculous ideas yet. 🤍

If this reel made you laugh, we promise Soul Jam: Madhubala is slightly less chaotic (and a lot more soulful).
