Clarkson’s 22B review shows what makes the car different from a normal Impreza STI. The 2.2 liter EJ22G has a stronger torque delivery, while the close ratio five speed keeps the engine in its useful rev range. Subaru’s Driver Controlled Centre Differential lets the driver adjust the four wheel drive system, and the wider track, Bilstein dampers and revised suspension give the chassis much more control. There is also no ABS or traction control, so the driver has direct control over the car under braking and on corner exit. Put together, those details explain why the 22B feels so focused without needing to rely on huge power figures. #Motorforms #subaru #wrxsti #topgear #subaruimpreza
