POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

September began with a goodbye. Early in the month, we said farewell to Otto, our family dog. Grief traveled with us into every joyful moment that followed.

Our family was joined together for my cousin’s wedding in the mountains of Frisco, CO, where the air is thin and the clouds feel so much closer to the sky. Then a pit stop in Denver, hotter than I expected, before a long and arduous journey back home to sea level (where I belong... 11k’ altitude is not for me).

I’ve wanted to make an effort to be out on the water more often... to take advantage of having access to such beautiful oceans teaming with wildlife in a matter of 15 minutes. I brought out the SUP to feel salt on my skin again, remembering how quickly the water returns me to my mermaid self. Indie is still getting used to it 😅

As always, it was a month of tables as well. Girls night for Miami Spice at Daniel’s Steakhouse. A date night at El Carajo tucked behind a gas station - proof that the best places can be in the most unexpected places. Little foodie finds I tucked away to savor again.

And after a few months delay, it was a highlight to witness Rosalía’s closing night of her LUX tour at Kaseya Center, even from the ‘nosebleeds.’ We made it just in time for my favorite song that brought tears to my eyes.

And it wouldn’t be fall without some cozy home baking.

Mountains, sea, live music, shared tables, home. I’m in my cozy element 🍂☕️☀️

Small space, big flavor ✨🍷 NIU Kitchen is a hidden Spanish gem in Downtown Miami known for its tapas, natural wines, and intimate, no-frills atmosphere.

One of those spots you only find if someone local tells you. 🌊

There is a difference between eating out and eating here.

Eating out is performance. Eating here is repetition. It is knowing which café in Brickell will make your coffee the way you like it without asking twice. It is standing elbow to elbow at the Versailles ventanita. It is leaving Piman Bouk with more than you planned to buy.

Miami’s depth is not only visible in its architecture. It is edible.

A companion piece to The Miami Most Visitors Miss. Both essays at the link in bio.

I am in love!!! With Miami & these restaurants. @cafefenicia has the most incredible Lebanese dishes and their rice pudding dessert... omg. Also @sunkissedbrickell burger is so gas and they have a bomb happy hour from 5-7pm. I'm in love with @yoso_sushi and their hamachi crudo and chicken katsu... also I would marry. The octopus carpaccio from @niukitchen I'm so serious I had it like 2 years ago and it's lived rent free in my head ever since then. And finally @sottovoce_midtown has secured the best wine bar in my heart - literally just went last night and will be back for brunch soooon

• To Be Determined — an unforgettable culinary experience, creative and ever-evolving
• The Breakfast Boys — worth the trip to Atlanta, amazing brunch and great energy
• Niu Kitchen — authentic Spanish flavors with Michelin-level attention to detail
