I’m honestly not even sure where to start this post……..

My heart is so overcome with gratitude and emotion this morning. I can barely type these words.

But today, after immense heartbreak and devastation that should have taken me out, I get to tell you the story of the greatest unfolding that I never could have planned or orchestrated in my own power.

What you will read is actually the fourth version of this book. The first version was in my head during my divorce. I wanted to tell you all of the terrible things that were done to me. The second version is the story. I started writing when I thought I would self publish. The third version was after I had an agent. And it started with the terrible things that happened. And we were rejected by every publisher.

This is the version our Father wants you to read. I bring you through the beautiful story of renovating my 1926 cottage alongside the renovation of my life. There are definitely twist and turns built-in. But it’s my hope that this book inspires you to find your own bright side, despite immense heartache, grief, or trials. But if you somehow have skipped through life without that, I this book will inspire you to live your life in a way that shows kindness, determination, grit and glory.

This is what I came for.

A new city. Familiar faces. Cocktails at Dalida in the Presidio with my best Sotheby’s friends, and views worth putting the phone away for. After a few pictures, obviously.

The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, the Bay, five-star views and foliage, trees, and terrain unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

Then, lingering in one of the finest shops I’ve ever seen, I spotted Niven Morgan’s products. Mentioned we’re friends, only to learn another friend of his had been in last week.

First day in San Francisco, and somehow, already feeling right at home.
