3 ways you can f*** up a rehab exercise
1. It’s the wrong exercise
2. It’s done incorrectly
3. There’s not enough reps

The bird dog is number one exercise that if you were doing CORRECTLY at traditional PT, it would make huge difference for your back pain.

This exercise is on the same sheet of paper that everyone gets at PT for low back pain…. so we see it demonstrated by the new patients in our office, A LOT.

Where we see bird dogs gone wrong:
❌ over arching through the back
❌ not engaging the glute and the core correctly
❌ too fast and out of control

Things to try (save this!!)
✔️ “drive through the heel”
✔️ “point toe to knee”
✔️ “full your stomach up with air” * this one is unique to S2M and we teach our patients this breathing pattern before this exercise.

Share this with a friend who has back pain so they can finally feel normal again.

Bad PT? Join the club 👇🏼

This is what Kyle shared with me on his experience at traditional PT:

“I know the exercises I do for my back are straight out of the book that every person does when they go to a generic physical therapy place. In the same order, every single time with no real change in the pain. With no cause of the pain and that’s what we are looking for. I’m looking for something that’s not cookie cutter.”

Have you given up on traditional PT?

Follow so that you can see it for yourself 🤩
