Natalie!

Oh my gosh, I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since the day you burst into our lives! I was just 20 myself, and it felt like such an incredible honor to be there in the delivery room, witnessing your arrival. Everyone was filled with excitement; you were the very first grandbaby and niece in our family! When you finally made your grand entrance, it felt like the world shifted just a little bit to welcome you. I was head over heels! Those tiny fingers, that adorable nose, your sweet little voice—everything about you stole my heart immediately.

You were hands-down the most entertaining little kid! Opinionated, loud, goofy, and oh-so-sweet, you brought so much joy and laughter into our lives. We sang our hearts out more than we talked, danced like nobody was watching, and filled our days with epic parties, races, baking, Barbies and conversations about life. I know you may not remember all of those times, but they are some of my most cherished memories! It’s really because of you and the world you showed me that I have children myself.

And look at you now—20 years old and more fabulous than ever! As you’ve grown, I’ve been in awe of your incredible personality bursting with spunk and sass. You’ve become someone I truly admire and respect. You’ve always marched to the beat of your own drum, loving fiercely and wholeheartedly. You are a force of goodness. You have always been open and kind to people. You never forget to express gratitude to those who care about you, and your kindness knows no bounds.

I couldn’t be prouder, Natalie! Proud of the amazing woman you’ve become, proud to call you my niece, and proud to have been there for every twist and turn of your journey. You occupy a special place in my heart that no one else could ever touch. Even though we don’t see each other every day, my love for you is constant. Thank you for being your wonderfully unique self and for loving me back.

Happy 20th Birthday to my first “little girl!”

Love you forever and always,

Becklet
