Go on, admit it. There’s no longer a meaningful distinction between “real life” and life online, including sitting around in the park. So why shouldn’t art reflect the furious, melancholic, psychedelic sensation that we’ve all been permanently logged on? A new era deserves new aesthetics, but also fables, values, and protocols. For Spike, it means new colleagues, new features, and new art direction by Gian Gisiger. Everything is interwoven. Everything’s computer. Feat:

Still swooning over an opening night for the books.

@catalyst_la_ is the community, the tribe I’ve called home from the beginning — the friendships I found and forged here have weathered sun and storm, bear and bull. All the more fitting that my solo exhibition with @epoch.gallery, ‘Between These Black Waters’, was shared and celebrated here amongst those I hold most dear.

All of my gratitude to @cody_edison @doctor_wu and @prometheanwatch — the gorgeous souls without whom this gorgeous evening wouldn’t be possible, and who believed in this impossible project from its earliest seed.

And to @fwb.help and @0xassembly for the generous support.

My heart is yours 🖤

Thrilled to be part of this exhibition, organized by @objktone and @thesecondguess, on view this weekend in LA! 🌴

Reception: 27 February, 2–5 PM
Viewing Hours: 28 February, 8 AM to 9 PM
Location:
4065 Glencoe Ave #100
Marina Del Rey, CA 90292

I will be showing work from a new series, ‘Threadbare’, which aims to expose a profound parallel between two forms of cultural erasure: the dismissal of women’s bodily experiences and the historical devaluation of textile arts as mere “craft.”

The exhibition features many fab artists, including @nnhirsch, @canekzapatap, @claudhart, @fantasticplanet, @leahschrager, @studio_de.wilde, @manta_timing, @margaretmurphyart, @martnbruc, @rj16848519

Thank you @kn___studio and @artontezos for the support! ♥️

»Context Collapse« revisits Aram Bartholl’s iconic »Speed Show« format, reactivating the internet café as a site for presenting digital art during LA Frieze Week 2026. Taking this historical net art framework as a point of departure, the exhibition explores what it means to be an artist in the age of AI and how the self is performed amid the rise of AI slop.

Bringing together works that reflect on authorship, identity, and online presence, the project considers the internet café as both a cultural space and a conceptual lens for thinking about contemporary image production and digital artistic practice.

Curated by The Second-Guess & objkt.one.

“Seams and Synthesis: Schizocollage and AI Aesthetics” by Brian Droitcour @briandroitcour

Droitcour argues contemporary art with NFTs operates in the productive tension between two opposing aesthetics: schizocollage (which foregrounds visible seams and difference) and generative AI (which synthesizes difference into coherent wholes). The most compelling work—Mons @supermetalmons and Little Swag World by Super Metal Bosch, as well as Ugly Bitches and Little Darlings by Ann Hirsch @nnhirsch and Maya Man @mayaontheinternet—uses this tension to surface and critique how desire, identity and collectibility function in culture.
