The synchronicity of life never ceases to amaze me!

While working on an unusual 3D ostrich project, I’m suddenly seeing ostriches everywhere—and this morning, I stumbled across this magnificent 150-year-old, full-size feathered beauty.

Controversial, perhaps, but impossible to miss. Naturally, I had to get out the tape measure and check a few proportions for my own project!

What an absolute beauty ❤️@no1_castlegate

So with the house move delayed I took my sulky self off to Newark for a spot of sourcing.

Moving can be so frustrating but it’s teaching me to flow and trust in the process and more importantly given me a few more weeks to clear out 18years of junk!

Nothing like a good rummage to calm the mind and I’m pleased to say I’ve sourced a few lovely items for an up and coming project.

Good things come to those who wait ❤️

I’m so lucky to work with the talented Alex. She’s just renovated a lovely barley-twist wooden lamp for me, which will be heading to the Fat Badger York soon. If you want to see more of her work, check out her vintage and antique lamps @no1_castlegate —all carefully renovated with sustainability in mind. Spot something you like? Drop her a message and give her a follow! @illuminating_alex
