THE BODY KNOWS
An Acting Workshop with Mirette Mechail

Through movement, breath, rhythm, instinct, improvisation, physical awareness, and listening, we will explore how the body can unlock character, emotion, and presence.

Where does your character hold tension?

How do they breathe when they are afraid?

What happens to their body when they enter a room?

What does their silence reveal?

What does a gesture say before a single word is spoken?

This workshop is not about learning how to “move” on stage.

It is about learning to listen.

To notice the impulses that happen before thought.

To break habitual physical patterns.

To trust instinct.

To allow the body to lead you somewhere the mind could not.

Because sometimes, the most truthful choice an actor can make is not a line.

It is a breath.
A shift.
A pause.
A gesture.
A body telling the truth.

Acting is not only knowing what your character says.
It is discovering where it comes from.
For actors ready to move beyond playing a character —
and start embodying one.
