WOMEN'S DAY • As IN-EDIT we fully support the feminist movement and the need to continue celebrating on the #internationalwomensday. The lack of female representation in our sector is a stark reality and we can only tackle it by being persistent in this fight.

We primarily do it by amplifying women's voices and work through our film selections (Joan Jett: Bad Reputation, Sophie Fiennes' unique view on Grace Jones in Bloodlight and Bami, MATANGI/MAYA/M.I.A., PJ Harvey in A Dog Called Money, Paloma Zapata's touching portrait of Peret in Soy La Rumba - and this year with Alison Ellwood’s renowned The Go-Go’s, one of the first all-female rock bands to find sustained success). Also, we do it by supporting female professionals in the field, which is why we are very proud to have some amazing ladies (and an exquisite gentleman) in our core team for IN-EDIT 2021! So a huge thanks to our amazing directors Anna and Carla, and our small but powerful team!

Women's Day is a day for celebration, reflection, gratitude, but also a day to have discussions, acknowledge and identify all the things that still need to be improved and #choosetochallenge the status quo in the hopes that one day, we will achieve not only gender equality, but social equity.

So happy Women's Day to all the women, womxn, and all the femininities out there! Together we're stronger!
