UVA has never been favored at Doak and has only won 1 time. In 2026, they’re favored by 2.5 points. That’s not just a slap in the face to the team performance, but a notice to our fans that teams aren’t afraid to face us at DOAK. We need to cheer loud as our participation has as much impact to the program as the players effort on the field. Fans help create energy and lift to our players, so stand up, cheer loud and make an impact to the game. Go Noles! #fsu #fyp #fsufootball #floridastate #seminoles

Looking forward to the game Saturday. Only 19 point dogs vs 21 point dogs last year. Something about DeBoer just feels like a sweep. This team is more talented and prepared than we were last year. Question is are they ready to become legends? #fsu #capcut #fyp #fsufootball #rolltide

7/16- 44 days lets celebrate number 44 William Floyd, one of the legendary figures of Florida State football and one of the finest leaders in the history of the program.
Floyd starred at Lakewood High in St. Petersburg, Fla. where SuperPrep magazine listed him as the nation’s No. 2 fullback prospect.

He signed with the Seminoles prior to the 1990 season and redshirted his true freshman season. Saw his first action in 1991 where he backed up NFL star and FSU Hall of Famer Edgar Bennett, but still played in every game. He had several huge plays as a rookie including scoring on a fake field goal in the historic win at Michigan.

Floyd emerged as the vocal leader of the Seminoles as a sophomore in 1992 when he led the team in touchdowns with 10. He rushed for 222 yards as a sophomore, and ranked second on the team in scoring, but was even more valuable as a blocker.

One of the leaders and anchors of FSU’s first national title team in 1993. Nearly impossible to stop from short yardage as a junior, Floyd totaled 321 yards on 63 carries during the regular season. His fourth-quarter touchdown plunge against Nebraska in the national championship game kept the Seminoles in position for the win.

Floyd was drafted in the first round by San Francisco, where he won a Super Bowl ring, and he played a total of seven seasons in the NFL. #fsu #fyp #capcut #floridastate #ncaafootball
