POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Thanks for all the notes and support about my posts these last few weeks. I think most of us have been feeling the same way. I’ve been ranting a lot, but I want my last goodbye to Instagram to be positive. I want to share something I’m proud of. This video is called “Life and Joy”.

It uses footage shot by my late grandpa, and myself, using his Canon Camcorder. 2 years ago I picked up the camera and had the idea to mix videos from both of our travels. My plan was to shoot until it ran out of internal storage, which wildly turned out to be hours of video spanning 2 years, 5 states, and 9 counties. Somewhere in Portugal in December it filled up. Beyond that, I will let it speak for itself.
And sorry for the aspect ratio. It’s my last FU to insta.

Towards the end of his life my Grandpa was committed to giving back. His work with 2 organizations, Partners Asia and Landesa, focused on securing land rights and resources for indigenous populations. I find their work to be inspiring and effective. I would encourage you to check them out. I will leave links to their pages and the YouTube link for the video in my bio.

Our lives are the sum total of what we pay attention to, and I’ve spent far too much of mine staring at reels of rage bait. So I’m signing off✌️My plan is to live like my Grandpa. If I die in Burma at the age of 80 while trying to make the world better, I will have lived right.

If you don’t have my number, email, or address (send me a letter), you can find it at the link as well.

I love you all. Don’t be a stranger. Let’s log off, our lives are waiting for us.

-Patrick

The studio had its first shoot. We managed to hire a very sought-after photographer, Mr. Self Timer (doesn’t even have an IG so exclusive), and couldn’t be happier with the results.
