What a whirlwind experience!! A week of rehearsal, another week and a half of tech, and there we had it, two shows in a month. It was such a privilege to finish this year together and be the first RAM show to have the full company onstage for such an epic musical. Well this is FUN!! Finally graduated with a MA 1st & received the Bicentenary Award from @royalacademyofmusic crazyyy! Here are some photos from grad and final days with my ma,Pa , brother and friends 🥹🪩 So happy I got the opportunity to go train for one more year. The academy was a place I had thought about training for a long time. Met the most amazing people and worked with the most AMAZING people…still gagged by some till today hahhh!

‘Chess’, Royal Academy of Music, 2026. It has been a huge honour to play Anatoly in this fantastic production. Working closely with @bguthrie01 and @benhnyc to bring this role to life has been an incredible experience, and I have learned so much throughout the process. CHESS (ROYAL ACADEMY OF MUSIC) Make no mistake about it, this was a West End production in all but name. Once again, I was totally blown away by RAM’s exceedingly high standards, across both cast and creatives, when it comes to putting on these public performances. There is a reason this short run sold out as soon as it was announced months ago. I think we were all salivating at the prospect of this epic - if somewhat batshit - musical being performed at RAM, complete with its incredible 26-piece orchestra. As is always the case, this was a seriously classy affair. Huge credit must go to director Bruce Guthrie for capturing the imposing spirit of Chess, but also to Andrzej Goulding for such an innovative set and video design. The videography added an extra layer of exhilaration to the chess matches and TV interview scenes. Likewise, Sophia Pardon’s striking costumes brought the piece alive so vividly. The abiding image of this show will surely be the ABBA-inspired costumes, giving more than a subtle nod to composers Benny and Björn, during ‘The Arbiter’. But of course, you need a top class company to truly elevate a show like this and once again this RAM cohort delivered. For me, the showstopping moment of Chess has always been when Florence belts ‘Nobody’s Side’ and Laura Araiza Inasaridse more than earned her extended ovation. She was fantastic throughout and Chess really is Florence’s story, when you cut through the egotistical men and geopolitics of it all. Emilio Moreno Arias performed some serious vocal gymnastics as Freddie, owning the stage every time he opened his mouth. Meanwhile, Adam Haddour (Anatoly) was equally impressive in his solo numbers, none more so than the spine-tingling ‘Anthem’. Rachelle Ojomo impressed as Svetlana - but that will come as no surprise to those of us fortunate to have seen her as Celie in Sedos’ The Color Purple. And there were strong turns from Daniel Nardone (Walter), James Wang (Molokov) and Jobim Ffrench (The Arbiter). Chess was up there with the incredible production of Nine last year and I cannot wait to see what RAM has in store for us next summer already. A special, special performance.

Chess at @royalacademyofmusic The opportunity to play the part of Anatoly in this musical, which has been one of my favourites for a few years, is one I am extremely grateful for. Ending the year on a show which included the entire RAM 25/26 cohort is also a blessing that is not lost on me. To work with such an incredible creative team and cast has ensured that this production will always remain a favourite of mine, regardless of what life in the industry looks like for me afterwards. To share this role with @adamhaddour was another privilege, and being able to build off each other during the process meant we could both unlock an aspect of the character that was deeper than we thought we could find.
