CAUTION STALLING 💥💥💥💥

5, 165ers to Watch:
No specific order and they all have their own reasons.

1. LJ Araujo - Placed 4th at Big 10s, earned the 6 at NCAAs but went 1-2. If you look at his loses, Parco and Lockett, I think we can be excited for where Araujo is at. He is a Bronze medalist and his ability is there. Now he has a full season of experience and it only helps that he did well in the Big 10. Stock up!
2. Casey Swiderski - he’s on here for one reason, to win the job! I believe Casey will win out 165 and go to NCAAs for Oklahoma State. He’s a multiple time AA and arguably had the match of NCAAs with Van Ness. His caliber can do it. Floor is AA, Ceiling is title contender.
3. Zion Trujillo - another excited watch for me because he’s another Vegas kid! Zyon got to battle last year and with a year under his belt I cannot wait to see his improvements! He’s got experience, now I cannot wait to watch him let it fly.
4. Noah Nininiger - Redshirt Freshman, had a huge win over the 4 rank last year before getting hurt. Has beaten a couple AAs. He has proven his talent could be on the podium. This also plays a role because we could see a Jax situation with Melvin but I’m unsure it happens if Noah is the man and producing like his abilities say!
5. PJ Duke - I think the move up is great! Oh looked great at 157 however, maybe we see a more energetic Duke at 165. Could you imagine? Either way, he’s one of the most talented guys in NCAAs and I think he’s an immediate title threat!

Am I crazy? Who do you think?

Ryan explains how that moment became the first time he ever had to truly yell at Jax.
Clip 2
Josh Kindig looks back on the first time Jax Forrest walked into the NC Rams club in Chapel Hill. According to Josh, Jax was far from the standout wrestler people know today—and he talks about just how rough Jax was when he first started.
Clip 3
Josh Kindig discusses coaching Virginia Tech standout Noah Nininger and answers a bold question: could he still beat Noah in a match? Josh believes he can—and breaks down why he still has confidence in his ability to compete.

With the 2026–27 collegiate season just around the corner, let’s take an early look at a few teams and their projected lineups! We’ll head to Blacksburg, where The Hokies are looking to build on last year’s performance at The NCAA Championships, where the team put two All Americans on the podium and finished. The lineup will feature a Former National Champion, returning All Americans, a mix of familiar faces, and very promising young talent.

What do y’all think about this squad? Does Virginia Tech go from not falling within the top-10 last year to finishing within the top-5 in the team race? Drop any thoughts of questions in the comments.
