Life is still Bonita Bonita but I’m in a bit of a challenging season—feeling a bit drained, and not like the version of Alex I know! I say this knowing many don’t read ze captions, but maybe you’re in a weird transitional phase, too. I’m focusing on the glimmers all the same. I love these people, I love these moments, I am SO proud of my friends @iamconnorstreet and @whoisalstad for five years of @alstadandchurchill, and if you’re feeling funky, I am your company ♥️ love you! we contain multitudes

This city can look like a place that doesn’t have a strong sense of community to those outside of it, but this treehouse in Echo Park that @noahchampion lived in for over a decade was the best of LA, such a formative sanctuary for so many of us, that we had to properly send it off with a funeral this weekend.

I can’t tell you how many of my now lifelong friends I met here. How many times the living room turned into a dance floor (and we kept trying different areas so as not to disturb the downstairs neighbors). How many books I read and glasses of wine I drank on the deck. How many times I hyped myself up under my breath while driving Noah’s Jeep around those tight corners up the hill and down that pinhole alleyway. The peaceful sunrises and breathtaking sunsets. The meditative mornings, and the rotating door of friends.

It’s an honor to have had such a beautiful space as our “Central Perk” for so many years. I’m so sad we had to say goodbye, and I’m so grateful we got one last time to decorate it and fill it with flowers…even the bathtub wasn’t spared. It was beautiful to honor it, and all it held for us.

Thank you for opening up your beautiful home to so many of us, Noah.

Altivo Way forever!
