Every Sunday for the last few months, it’s a Sunday ritual that we go up to our favourite café and enjoy some time together and with each other and others from the community. Thanks to Rooneys, for making us so welcome. Today was our last day.

First day with enough warmth from the sun to sit outside and read for a bit. Of course I had to wear my favourite cap.

Somehow, we released this album 10 years ago today, which feels in most ways like a lifetime ago, and in other ways like just last year. Is it too soon to feel nostalgic for 2015? Despite the summery feel of it, we recorded the bulk of it in a barn on the outskirts of Hamilton during a very snowy winter week. We finished it at the lovely home studio of sound-wizard-wrangler-producer-cookie-baking-master @graham_c_walsh in Toronto. Almost a year after this record was released, we got to play our (unknowingly) last string of shows with @tunsband - a full circle moment for me. Not only as a chance to hang with 3 musicians I’ve respected and listened to for years, but also as I had originally seen the first incarnation of YR opening for the Flashing Lights circa 2003. Little did I know what the following 13 years would have in store. Logo text lettering by @bnelsonartdesign. Go make music with yer buds! /end nostalgia jog
