This morning, we ran in memory of Jake Marlowe ז״ל.

Most of us never had the privilege of meeting him.

And yet, through the beautiful work of the Jakey Project, his life continues to do what the best lives do.

Bring people together.

Created by those who loved him most, the Jakey Project exists to ensure that Jake’s spirit, values, and love for life continue to inspire others. And this morning, thousands of miles from London, his story brought together Jews from different countries, backgrounds, and walks of life.

As someone who came to Israel alone at 19, I know how powerful it is to find people who make a place feel like home.

That’s what I love most about @nicejewishrunners .

Not the kilometers.

Not the pace.

THE PEOPLE.

Because in a world that can often feel lonely and divided, there is something profoundly powerful about people choosing to show up for one another.

To run together.

To laugh together.

To remember together.

Jake’s memory brought us together this morning.

And perhaps there is no greater legacy than that.

May his memory be a blessing.

עם ישראל חי 💙🏃‍♂️🕯️
