Here’s some of what we got from our online auctions! We ended up selling a few items to offset what we paid, and we’re using everything else for our rentals/flips. We can’t wait to go back!! 😂

Work is 100% better when your partner’s Argentinian mom shows up for closing day 😂😂

All jokes aside… it was so special to show mama dori what we actually do… and even more special getting to show her the progress on her very own rental property in Indiana!

Comment SCOPE and we’ll send you our free Scope of Work Template 🔨

Welcome to our 4-part series on things we wish we knew before our first renovation!

First up: Scope of Work.

A vague scope of work = missed details, surprise costs, and a lot of “wait… I thought that was included…”

Before every renovation, we spell out everything from flooring and paint to outlets, fixtures and trim. Because if it’s not written down, it’s probably not getting done.

Comment SCOPE and we’ll send you the template we use!

Hi! We’re Hayley and Noam, two 30-somethings who wanted something bigger for ourselves. The main goal was freedom… financial AND time.

We’re just normal girls who used our day jobs to fund our career pivot into real estate investing, one step at a time.

On this page, we’re posting all the things we wish someone had told us when we first started buying rentals 🫠

Follow along for the ride!

Are you team #turnkey or team dirty work?

This one was just how we like it… stinky, discounted, & fullll of potential!
@tommyharr05-level scary … but like…in all the right ways.

Hoarding situations are actually some of the easiest renovations .. they can scare away some investors, but once they’re cleaned out, they usually look like totally different properties!

Day in the life working remotely from Nicaragua 🇳🇮

Popoyo is a dreamy little surf town that has been on our bucket list for a while now! We were able to sneak away for a week to get a MUCH NEEDED change of scenery 🌊

Being organized with a detailed scope of work and CLEAR renovation schedules will make your life soooo much easier if you plan to be out of state or traveling during your projects.

Also … I know I’ve said this before, but purchasing all your own materials and using those cc points to take yourself on vacation is the ULTIMATE real estate investing hack imo.

Week 5 of Trash to Cash 💰

This week of our Indiana house flip was a good reminder that real estate renovations don’t stop just because you’re not at the jobsite 😅

We’re deep in the not-so-pretty part of this fixer upper renovation … making sure the structure, framing, plumbing and electrical are solid before drywall goes up.

Total renovation cost so far: $27,973 👀

Biggest takeaway: a solid team + clear weekly progress goals are everything when you’re managing a house renovation from afar ✈️

We’ll see you next week!
