We’re excited to welcome Jason Hoffman as a mentor on Coolie Hi. Jason Hoffman brings more than 20 years of experience in professional baseball and athlete representation to the Coolie Hi community. As a General Certified Agent with the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), Jason has built a career helping athletes navigate the business side of professional sports. Before becoming an agent, Jason was a two-time MLB Draft pick and professional baseball player, giving him firsthand experience with the journey athletes face both on and off the field. Since transitioning to the agency side in 2004, Jason has negotiated more than $20 million in MLB contracts and has worked closely with players to help them understand roster strategy, free agency, contract negotiations, and long-term career development. Jason is also deeply committed to education and mentorship. Through his “Help Me Help You” podcast, he shares insights about the sports industry and provides guidance to athletes and professionals who want to better understand how the business of sports really works. Today, Jason works with Reliance Baseball, where he represents talented players such as Homer Bush Jr. and Ben Simon, while also helping expand the agency’s scouting and player evaluation network. As a Coolie Hi mentor, Jason will help young athletes understand the realities of the sports industry, including contracts, representation, roster dynamics, and preparing for opportunities at the next level. Sidney Tarver built his football career as a standout linebacker at Tennessee State University, where he became known for his leadership and impact on the field. After college, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent, earning an opportunity to compete at the professional level. Following his time in football, Sidney successfully transitioned into the business world, becoming a respected entrepreneur in the trucking and logistics industry. His journey from student-athlete to professional football player to entrepreneur gives him a powerful perspective on what it takes to succeed both on and off the field. As a mentor on Coolie Hi, Sidney will help guide young athletes as they navigate their development, build discipline, and prepare for opportunities in sports, business, and life beyond athletics. Coolie Hi is proud to welcome Cedric Ceballos as a member of our Advisory Board and mentor. Cedric brings decades of experience from the highest levels of professional basketball. During his NBA career he played for several teams including the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, and Miami Heat. He was also selected as an NBA All-Star in 1995 and is widely remembered for his iconic blindfold dunk that won the 1992 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Beyond his on-court accomplishments, Cedric has remained deeply connected to the basketball community, working with young athletes and supporting the next generation of players through mentorship and development initiatives. At Coolie Hi, mentorship is a core pillar of the platform. Our mission is to prepare young athletes for the realities of modern sports by connecting them with experienced professionals who understand what it takes to compete at the highest level. This year’s 27th Annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase event will be different from previous year’s events, as it will be bigger than ever, and we will also host an Arizona Preps Fall Showcase Kick-Off event on Friday, October 24th from 6PM to 8PM @ Gilbert High School, and will feature numerous amazing SPECIAL guest speakers on the evening and entertainment! This FREE event will be MANDATORY for each of the players and coaches for the event, and will also be allowed for parents and family to attend as well, as this event will be very exciting to be a part of, as we kick off the 2025-2026 high school basketball season! Arizona Preps is very proud to announce that the Kick-Off event on Friday, October 24th will feature 17-year NBA veteran and current NBA G-League Head Coach of the Grand Rapids Gold (MI), Andre Miller. Coach Miller has a very in depth Coaching Philosophy which includes numerous pillars, which includes Patience and Encouragement, Accountability, Commitment, Connecting with Players, Development, Staffing Responsibilities and Individual & Team Goals. Coach Miller has been very successful in his playing and coaching career, and also very successful in life, after coming from the streets to LA to a highly successful basketball career. A disciple of legendary Head Coach Rick Majerus, Miller is one of the top up & coming coaches in the country, and we are very proud to announce that he will be a part of this year’s Fall Showcase Kick-Off Event for ALL the spectators involved.
