I have been looking for a good Taiwanese place in San Francisco and the Bay Area for so long, and I am so happy to have finally found @liangsvillage. Everything here was so delicious and made me miss Taiwan even more. Highlights of the dinner were the Spicy Pig’s Ears (shaved so thin and so flavorful !), Scallion Pancake Beef Wrap (not super greasy like other places which was so nice), and The Works (peanut-y and slightly spicy sauce). @noboba’s Oreo Salted Cream Potted Plant is also amazing if you are looking for a drink, while the Honey Grapefruit Squeeze is super refreshing. The owner was so kind and hospitable. The only downside is that this place is far from the San Francisco 😢. I’m already missing this place now that I am back on the East Coast.

Happy Wednesday foodie friends! Sushi collab tonight! Super excited for it! Foodie friends giving tomorrow at my place, kinda nervous 😅. Lets hope it goes well ya’ll! ⠀
⠀
Todays night market vendor feature is @liangsvillage WHICH also has a brick & mortar location right here in Cupertino (literally 8 mins from me). Liangs Village aimed to bring awareness to Taiwanese cuisine when Mama Liang opened her first store in SGV in 1981. Her legacy has since then been passed down to her grandchildren and today they still pay homage to Mama Liangs authentic Taiwanese recipes. So hows their food? ⠀
⠀
Spicy Red Oil Mini Wonton:⠀
⠀
These are absolutely delicious appetizers! The tiny wontons are packed with meat and the chili oil is so good. The heat is very mild but makes up for how explosive the flavors are.⠀
⠀
Beef Pancake Wrap: ⠀
⠀
Scallion beef pancake rolls are a staple these were crispy, flaky, chewy and stuffed with beef and that signature scallions. I loved this dish a lot, but I think it was missing a bit of hoisin sauce to accompany each bite! ⠀
⠀
Crispy Dungeness Crab Balls (foodieland exclusive):⠀
⠀
Their crispy Dungeness crab balls were a test run at Foodieland to see if they were popular enough to be added to their brick & mortar locations menu. The balls themselves were super duper crispy, it kind of reminds me of eating the skin of fried bean curd, but stuffed with all that crab. The sauce that accompanied it was CRACK, it was sweet almost like a jam, it definitely had some kind of fruit to it which now eludes my memory⠀
⠀
Spicy Pigs Ear:⠀
⠀
Oh man if you’ve never had spicy pig ears you’re missing out! Its marinated in chili oil and has this light cartilage texture but since its so thin you can hardly tell. Its a flavor house and makes for great Taiwanese Appetizer or play food. ⠀
⠀
White Peach Tea (noboba):⠀
⠀
Last but not least we got to try their exclusive white peach tea at foodieland! This tea was absolutely amazing on that ONE hot day at Berkeley. It had such a nice floral flavor with the perfect sweetness level. Absolutely amazing tea! ⠀
⠀
Huge shout out to Erica for taking care of us at foodieland🙏🏻
