Thank you to everyone who came to Nikon School: “DEEP of FEEL” the Portrait Photography Workshop by Donell Gumiran at Xposure 2026. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque – "Spaces of Light 2025" Photography Awards Donell Cablas Gumiran – Philippines 1st Place Winner – Digital Art This artwork is a visual representation of the intricate beauty and cultural depth of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. I photographed nearly 100 patterns and assembled them into a mosaic forming the dome, highlighting the mosque’s architectural complexity while reinforcing the idea of unity within diversity. This approach not only pays homage to traditional Islamic art but also transforms it into a contemporary piece that invites viewers to explore the mosque’s patterns in a new, immersive way. The classic mosaic composition symbolizes the interconnectedness of heritage, spirituality, and artistic innovation, making this piece both a tribute and a reimagining of Islamic design.

I am truly honored to have exhibited some of my award-winning photographs at Museu sa Konsulado, held in February 2025 at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. It was a privilege to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from our Consul General, H.E. Marford M. Angeles—@ Ford Angeles a moment I will always cherish. I would also like to express my gratitude to our Vice Consul Jim Jimeno for leading this project under the Consulate’s Cultural and Public Diplomacy efforts in the lead-up to our Independence Day celebrations this June. A heartfelt thank you to Sir Gopal Sudhakaran from Grand Stores Digital and Nikon for your unwavering support in printing my photos. Your generosity and encouragement mean so much to me. Special thanks to Nhoileen Maypa Photo and Video for the incredible support, and of course, to all my kababayan and friends who continuously believe in and support Filipino artists. Your encouragement fuels our passion and creativity. I’m also thrilled to share that my photographs will continue to be exhibited at the Consulate until March 2025. I hope you get the chance to visit! Mabuhay! 🇵🇭
