2 years ago I started my burlesque journey, around the same time that so many of my community were also beginning to perform or produce. It’s been such a beautiful season of realizing just how much we’ve grown, changed, and created together.

I am so grateful for this art form and for the freedom it has created within me and around me. I only dream bigger now, and I see so much more ahead. I believe in myself fully and truly, and there is nothing more powerful than believing in and trusting yourself. 🤍

These photos by @xtinafi are from one of my very first performances in December 2024 with @nocturnacabaret (congratulations on also turning 2 🥹🤍), performing Gitana by Willie Colón. It was my first time doing a salsa piece, and now salsa is a huge part of my life and a style that profoundly influences me as a dancer.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! 🇨🇴❤️‍🔥 Please go out and support Latinx art, artists, and culture as much as possible.

Hace 2 años empecé mi camino en el burlesque, justo cuando muches de mis amigues y personas de mi comunidad también estaban empezando a presentarse y a producir shows. Ha sido una temporada hermosa de ver cuánto hemos crecido, cambiado y creado juntes a través de nuestro arte.

Me siento profundamente agradecida por este arte y por la libertad que ha creado dentro de mí y a mi alrededor. Ahora solo sueño más grande y puedo ver todo lo que todavía está por venir. Creo plena y verdaderamente en mí misma, y no hay nada más poderoso que creer en ti y confiar en ti misma. 🤍

Estas fotos tomadas por @xtinafi son de una de mis primeras presentaciones, en diciembre de 2024 con @nocturnacabaret (que también acaba de cumplir dos años! 🥹🤍), bailando Gitana de Willie Colón. Era la primera vez que hacía una pieza de salsa y ahora la salsa es una parte enorme de mi vida y un estilo que influye profundamente en mí como bailarina.

Everybody says she’s lookin’ good, and the lady knows it’s understood…STRUTTER! is a burlesque benefit show in the spirit of rock and roll ❣️🎶

We’re collaborating with our friends in @queerstrans4liberation to raise funds for Pamela, a Hondureña mother being cruelly detained in central Texas, as well as local community members in need of mutual aid support.

Last time we came together, we raised $750 for Street Forum ATX’s Warm Drive. That’s proof that these kinds of shows really matter and make a big impact on the broader community. This time around, we’re putting money directly into the hands of people in our community who need it right now.

This show is gonna be fun, hot, loud, and also, powerful ASF! 100% of ticket sales + tips will be donated to the cause. 🎸⚡️
