A Beautiful Moment and the Heritage of Photography!
After making this photograph as the sun was setting over the Seine I had the privilege to meet Noé et Inès who shared that they are from the town of Chalon-sur-Saône, France, where they so proudly and enthusiastically shared with me that this is where Joseph Nicéphore Niépce invented photography. They went on to share that growing up there, from the time they started school, that the townspeople embrace this incredible heritage, and the beauty of photography. The serendipity of this moment, and their heritage, and their beautiful spirit and love for each other touched me deeply.
