No Exit Theatre Collective’s production of Rachel Weekley’s TWO HOUSEHOLDS, directed by Zeynap Akça, is on stage today and tomorrow (August 15 & August 16) at UNDER St Marks as part of FRIGID New York’s 2025 Little Shakespeare Festival.

Two Gender identities, both alike in dignity, in the fair closet where we lay our scene. But wherefore art thou two?

Playing through clown and movement work, TWO HOUSEHOLDS reimagines the text of Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet” to explore queerness and gender identity. Rachel Weekley continues their streak of solo Shakespeare remixes, following sold-out runs of “King of Nothing” at The Brick and Harrisburg Fringe Festival, with this expanded production of TWO HOUSEHOLDS, originally shown at Frigid’s ShakesSolo Festival.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:
Friday, August 15 @ 7:00pm
Saturday, August 16 @ 5:00pm

Tickets range from $20 to $25, and can be purchased online at frigid.nyc/festivals/little-shakespeare.

UNDER St Marks is located at 94 St. Mark’s Place in the East Village.

🎤 Could go on forever about haircut play :€ and what it meant to me so I’ll just say, one final time, thank you to Laia for entrusting me with this incredibly vital, deeply personal, absurdly hilarious, and unfortunately ever-more-relevant playground of a script; thank you to everyone who was part of the process; and just for the record, it’s trans pride/joy/beauty/excellence all day every day, and if you disagree you know where the door is. Do you hear the crickets? ✂️
