"Figure Skating in Harlem didn't just teach me how to skate—it taught me how to lead."

At the Sports Business Awards, our 2026 Alumni Board Chair, Oshinofa, reminded everyone that the true power of sport isn't measured by medals or championships—it's measured by the lives it transforms.

Her story is a testament to what happens when young people are given opportunity, mentorship, and a community that believes in them. Through Figure Skating in Harlem, she found confidence, leadership, and a lifelong commitment to lifting others as she climbs.

Today, she's paying that gift forward as a leader, mentor, and advocate for the next generation of Harlem girls.

We're incredibly proud of Oshinofa for representing our alumni, our students, and the lasting impact of nearly 30 years of Figure Skating in Harlem.

Watch her powerful remarks and see why investing in girls creates leaders for life. 💜⛸️
