My Baby...My Big Boy.

He's really growing up on me. It was time to lay new roots as we get ready to enter into Autumn; a New Year for New Energy. The leaves will fall and begin the process of regrowth... just like my Baby's Hair.

Omari never had his locs cut; except for the sides and the very back of his head. All of his matured locs were comprised of nothing but Baby hairs. I started his locs 6 years ago; the same time I started mine. We were on this Loc journey together...so it only felt appropriate that I be the one to Cut his Locs.

Needless to say, by the time I got to the 4th Loc, the tears started. I really don't know why I've been such a SAP these days...but cutting my Baby's Hair to regrow his Crown into its Best self, felt bittersweet. He is my EVERYTHING... and to help him Look and Feel better with this NEW Energy, He and I had to let go of "Baby Omari" 🥺🥹.

I felt his crown and... I just KNEW Omari would NOT sit STILL enough to allow me to fully and properly detox his hair and crochet his locs together to make them look full and healthy. Honestly that's difficult for some Adults to sit thru 😅🥴.

So, he and I made the conscious decision to let these roots go... and regrow his Tree. So that way his Crown and Glory can regrow Healthier, Fuller, Thicker, and ready to possibly re-loc in the future.

I'm so proud of my Big Boy. He took it like Champ and was sooo excited to feel the wind on his scalp. He even woke up and forgot his hair was newly cut 😂🫠; he's so used to feeling his hair touch his neck and possibly the top of his back. Now it's no longer there... and... y'all I am just so Happy HE is Happy.

My Handsome SunShine.

I Love You.
