Results are never guaranteed. The journey, though, is what matters and what makes it special are the people you share it with ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Very late post but that sure was a fun year ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Thank you @sacredheartuniversity โค๏ธ

Upon arriving at SHU, I had a โ€œyou get what you earnโ€ mindset. You put the hard work in, and what comes next is results.

I did everything possible to get healthy and be the great student athlete I thought I was meant to be.

The thing was:
I was getting no results.

My health didnโ€™t improve no matter what I tried, and I felt further behind than ever.

However, not getting the results I wanted ended up being one of the greatest gifts God gave me during my time at SHU. It opened the door to begin becoming everything He intended for me.

After stepping away from competition halfway through my sophomore season due to my health, my life slowly began to turn around. I was still in pain daily, but the Lord restored my soul and spirit. And He completely renewed my mind.

I was blessed with the most awesome relationships to grow along side with and was part of communities like @sacredheartaia rooted in faith. And I began to see Him in everything.

At the end of junior year, after 6 years of pain and unanswered questions, I finally received a diagnosis: TOS caused by a rare cervical rib abnormality.

This year, with a lot of support from @paulkab1 @shuathletictraining @coach_ty_actual and guidance from doctors, I was able to return to competition and finish my competitive career in the sport I love. Truly, senior year has been a testimony of His goodness and grace.

Thank you @sacredheartwwrestling for making it all possible. Being part of this program these past four years has been one of the greatest privileges of my life โค๏ธ

In 9 days, I will be getting surgery in hopes of relieving the pain and compression my cervical rib has caused all these years.

I leave SHU covered in grace and love, no longer striving to earn anything, but giving everything I have to give in faithfulness to His promise.

Praise be to God for giving me the strength to finish this chapter strong, relationships that will last an eternity, and a renewed spirit!

GOD DID!!!
