KYLE APPLESEED celebrates another trip around the sun. Making sure the garden grows with ripened riffs, this horticultural heartthrob has been hard at work sowing the seeds that sprout the spiciest riffs ever cooked up for our next record. He can’t wait to serve up his delectable arrangements for you to consume soon. In the meantime, please join us in wishing Kyle a happy birthday. We love you so much Kyle.

Chain reaction being closed hit me HARD this morning. I could tell you literally a hundred stories about all the amazing bands I saw in that tiny hot box before they got huge. But that's a B side to what the venue really was for me and my friends and all the other kids in Orange County/ Anaheim. Hundreds of DIY local scene kids went to local band show cases to escape and find community, that being gone is a huge lose for the community.

Me and Britts relationship really started at Chain reaction when we went to a Drive Thru Records line up (Not something I'd have chosen back then lol) . We went to different High Schools and lived 12 miles apart, for 16 year olds with no car or license, that's a long distance relationship. So We started writing in this book that we would pass back and forth to each other when we first started dating. We would trade off whenever we met up on the weekends. It's all the cringing longing teenage angst BS you'd expect , dreaming about hanging out with each other over the weekend at some show, or we would bitch about being grounded and missing Bands like Suicide machines and Big Wig (Britt was grounded not me and I got to see Big Wign rip it up, sorry Britt ) . It's were we kept our ticket n stubs and recapped the days we spent together and planned for the next.NO! None of you will ever read this book. Well probably when I'm dead. I dread the day to kids find it....I should probably lock it up.

I would have never imagined that 20+ years later we would still be going to these shows and also taking our children, we really took it for granted that it would last forever and our kids would maybe be up there or running around in the crowd. And I'm absolutely devastated it's gone gone.

By far the best thing about growing up in chain was seeing my friends playing on that stage. I'm sure I have more hard photos somewhere of back in the day but my digital footprint only goes so far back.

"We're all young and dumb and reckless
Confused but not defenseless
We'd rather live our lives regretless
Than cover someone else's setlist
We make our music for ourselves
Not for endless masses
We're just being who we are
We're just being who we are"

Went to see the Brown Pelican that made its way to Cleveland. Found it sleeping on a pole in the marina far away from a good view. Got info about another path and followed it to a up front view of it. It woke up and took flight and spent time diving for food and flying overhead. What a great time. #brownpelican #ohiobird #ohiobirding #ohiorarebird #ohiobirdwatching #ohiobirdphotography #ohiobirdphotos #punk #crackrocksteady #crustpunk #skapunk #skacore
