Identity crisis. You ever worked your entire life on ONE GOAL ONLY? Me too. And one day I woke up in front of a brick wall and realized that dream, that goal, that destination would never be reached. The feeling of heartbreak was minuscule in comparison to the indescribable emotion I was left with. It’s crazy to say at 22,23 years old I had just become a little kid that found out his dreams would never come true. A child that was told he was superhuman his entire life just found out he was powerless. “Keep yo head up” felt like a slap in the face and “go to church” probably offended me more than it should have. Found myself getting LOST in partying, alcohol, sex, crime, ya know, typical fast life nigga shit. And for a long time I couldn’t tell you who the hell I was. Because I was just a lost kid that had access to adult vices, suppressing emotions and traumas that would never go anywhere.. just lie dormant until I sobered up enough to feel em. So I chose not to be sober for 10years straight. Shit wild cuz I’m crying while I’m typing this but mane I wouldn’t wish that darkness I lived in on my worst enemy. But I’m THANKFUL for it. It created the beacon of light I am that you see today. To my brothers, I promise you not alone. To my sisters, I am here for you. My DMs, and phone is open. If we can trust each other enough to be vulnerable with one another, we can trust each other to keep confidentiality. Hope ain’t lost. Remember, we all SUPER! 🧡

On May 5, I celebrated the release my 6th project, The CHRISTOWNSEND Show. Initially inspired by the quirky and sometimes bizarre events and happenings of my own life, this project proves to be amongst my most musical and complete. Thank you to all my people who lended their voices and totally trusted my creative vision for this project. Picture “The Truman Show” mixed with The Wood and “Insecure”. Me and @burnieamsterdam had a ball making this one! Cover done by @mrsuitandtiee with Crayola Crayons. This may be my most artistic project to date! Give it a listen!
