CARLO SCARPA - GAVINA (Studio Simon) 1968 Italy.

Our Doge Table by Carlo Scarpa is vintage and was produced by Gavina before Cassina began production. It is the 10ft example.

The DOGE table designed in 1968 is one of Carlo Scarpa’s most iconic furniture designs. The table features a monumental glass supported by an intricate architectural base of polished metal. Its exposed structural elements and precise geometric composition reflect Scarpa’s fascination with engineering, transparency and materiality. An incredible example of Italian modernism…

Studio 65, 1971

From collapse comes creation. Born as if from the “fall” of a traditional Grecian column, the CAPITELLO lounge chair, ATTICA armchair, and ATTICA TL coffee table by Studio 65 prove that deconstruction can lead to rebirth. Each piece mimics a portion of a traditional column in the Erechtheion style of the Athenian Acropolis: the CAPITELLO is an oversized and elegant lounge chair derived from the column’s head or “capital” – a radical and striking armchair that commands attention in any space it finds itself. — GUFRAM

Kazuhide Takahama, 1973, Gavina Italy

Early Mantilla in uncommon colorway —

One of our favorite pieces by Takahama, a poetic soft sculptural, architectural piece that always ignites dialogue (sometimes interesting)

For us Kazuhide Takahama & Dino Gavina is the perfect marriage, everything we love about Japanese and Italian Design…
