“They said I was too small
and my dreams were set too high.
And what did these words do?
They gave me wings so I could fly”

⬆️ a verse from a poem I wrote when I was a teenager. I remember sitting at the coffee table one random afternoon writing it up on Skyline Dr.

No idea why it was such a core memory. But not surprised that I remember every word…

…because I meant every word 🤷🏽‍♂️

DEAR SUMMER,

Where do I even begin!!! First and foremost, what an unbelievable journey these past couple of months. The 2026 off season/ summer was one for the books 📚 !!!!!

After some unfortunate news that I got in May, I thought that my summer was going to be an unproductive/wasted off season. Sometimes opportunities that are not meant for you open the doors 🚪 to ones that you never thought 💭 you’d see open.

This off season I had the opportunity to take over and lead NBA PLAYER DEVELOPMENT WORKOUTS and watch numerous athletes take a huge step in there games. From NBA, to G LEAGUE, to college guys, to my high school and middle school athletes, work was put in this summer.

Every day was a grind. Different gyms, different locations, even days with 10 plus workouts, something always stayed the same , THE LEVEL UP!!! Everyday was an opportunity to be consistent , build, and grow.

Another big part of this off season was learning from other great trainers and assisting them with their workouts and player development work !! Huge shoutout to my guys @coachdjv @rickyviiv @ty.searles @roddyathletics @leekyconfidential .

Being able to be a part of USA 🇺🇸 Basketball was another highlight this summer that I will never forgot!!! This summer really showed me the importance of doing what’s best for you and try to be the best version of yourself everyday . Everyone’s journey and timeline is different so you should never compare your journey to others and focus on how to make your own journey worthwhile!!!

Lastly, this summer allowed me to get back to my love for exercise and fitness. From my lifting sessions, to outdoor runs, it’s great to be back in shape and getting my body back on track to be able to maximize my full potential on the court.

I don’t know what’s next in my basketball training/ coaching career, but I’m excited to have had a successful 2026 off season and grinding for what’s to come !!!

@iab_podz and @coachdjv talk about what makes an elite scorer in the NBA

Is 40% from 3 elite, like Podz thinks?
If not, what is elite from 3?
