Nolan “Libby” Libby joined the team as a Golden Novice, standing at a whopping 5’ 18”. In hopes of landing him in the Red Fox Navy, sources say head coach Campbell “cut from church league basketball” Woods was spotted on a nightly basis, deep in prayer, asking the universe to finally send the commitment through. Thankfully for Woods and the rest of the team, Libby agreed to dedicate four years of FAT ERGOs to Marist Men’s Crew. Libby ended his sophomore year racing in the IRA 4, and throughout his next three years, solidified himself as one of the top rowers from the Red Fox Navy.

As a Novice my sophomore year, Nolan was one of the first people who really welcomed me to the team. I was still getting used to waking up before sunrise every morning, but Nolan always made me excited to come to practice. He’d offer useful tips as a former novice and always made me feel welcome at the boathouse. Whether he realizes it or not, I can confidently say that Nolan made a huge impact on my first year on the team, and I’m incredibly grateful that I was able to spend two seasons with him.

Nolan - thanks for being a great leader on the team, and everyone’s favorite campus crush. We wish you and your smoked meat the absolute best in your next chapter of life.
