Story: January 2020 @lanascatorchia and me traveled to California for a family (read: motorcycle 😇) trip. Bought a 1966 Triumph in the north of California to race the British Twin class @hellonwheelsmc but had no time to pick it up in time to race the @hellonwheelsmc Glen Helen Steeplechase TT. Arriving at the track the morning of the race with no bike and a really really grumpy Gille. Walking around the pits we meet Meatball and Pape Joe, getting to know each other they understands I don’t have a bike. One thing let to another and next thing I know I’m running to the car to gear up and just in time for heat 1 I’m ready to hit the track. No training and never ridden this bike before, but very excited 🔥.
A 1988 Kawasaki KDX200 with a powerband equal to a on-off switch. Raced all day, crashed and raced some more with ending 3rd in the final 🥉 . Had crazy fun, met some of the most awesome people I’ve ever met.
The plan was to do this every year from then on.
I really need to get back to the plan.
