Yesterday @mudinmymalbec joined me on @nts_radio for this month’s show, which also happens to mark 15 years on the station. Quite a trip. Nothing but love and gratitude to all the artists who make the amazing music I love to play, the incredible guests who bring something unique every time, all the team at NTS, and of course anyone and everyone who has tapped in over the years. Too many photos to pick from but here’s a bunch from in and around the live airings, from Dalston to LA to Tokyo. RIP to those we lost along the way, Ebow & Alex.

Hip hop appreciation post 🔊🎙️👑

We’ve been so blessed to have been able to work with hip hop royalty over the last 27 years.

THTC grew up in dark, dingy clubs, mainly in Bristol & London in the late 90s - 2000s, and witnessed the genesis of so much emerging talent from the UK hip hop scene.

Those were the days of Undercover Magazine (thanks to our sister @nat_illumine), @dealreallegacy, @bigsmokemagazine, Mud Fam, ILL Commotion, Lowlife Records, Suspect Packages, @boombapfestival, Kung Fu gigs etc.

It truly was a golden era of domestic hip hop.

We’ve been rifling through the archives and dug out some snaps that go back a quarter century 📸

How many of these absolute badasses do you recognise?

We first met Beni G & DJ Go of ‘The Mixologists’ (DMC DJ dons) in 2000, who introduced us to

A pal of mine messaged me the other day and said "mate, I love that PENGSHUi tune about all the things from your youth, I'd never heard it before. Must come see you live"

Our 2nd album came out in 2022 and it threw me a bit because it feels like a long time ago, but it really isn't. Infact, Destroy Yourself turned 4 back in January. So happy belated birthday.

I really love it when someone discovers an older piece of music. In these days of fast art and fast content it's a nice feeling to know the previous stuff isn't disappearing into an algorithm, instead it's out there finding fresh ears.

This is 'This is My Youth' shot in and around Portobello Road & Mozart Estate where I grew up.

Had this one pop up in my memories.. supporting @foreignbeggars on their final Australian tour in 2017 remains one of my personal highlights..

Ebow was the rare type of artist who was as humble and kind backstage as he was formidable on the mic.. From the early hip-hop days which soundtracked my youngers, to the absolute sonic carnage of I Am Legion, which I will never forget.. truely one of the best to ever do it.

Shouts to @inhibitentertainment each and every for piecing that fucking sick line up together.

🖤 RIP EBOW 🖤

Thank you so much to my friends and family for attending a special run of Witness for the Prosecution, where we all performed our first cover understudy roles. So proud to be working with such a talented bunch of actors, well done everyone! #witnessfortheprosecution

CAT’S OUT THE BAG!

Free Catfood CD with every LimaDeltaZebra T-Shirt 🦍

Catfood was an LDZ compilation from 2011, with features from @jambaxtersmb,
@drsyntaxraps, @stigofthedumpuk, and more.

Finally on streamers after over a decade!

Big up all you long-term Zoo fans.

Whether you found a mixtape in an M4 layby, or ripped dodgy mp3s for your iPod, it’s not just the animals that make a zoo...

It’s the people who pay tickets or climb the fence.

Gotta give the lions something to look at, aye?

Grad a T-shirt and catch a CD.

Happy 13th Birthday to my eldest Noah. The first photo was taken mere moments before I got the call of your imminent arrival and would have to race across the country in time to meet you. Cannot believe how time has flown. Love you x
