Artist Spotlight: Non Grata (Estonia) @nongrataperformance Non Grata has spent nearly three decades staging loud, feral, collective actions across dozens of countries: fire, noise, raw bodies, and controlled chaos. A performance collective based in Tallinn, Estonia, currently on a USA tour, they are the anarchic engine behind the Diverse Universe festival and remain one of the most unruly live art collectives in the world. Estonia’s legendary @nongrataperformance performs alongside local artists @anabelleleedehm, @bobert_goutlet, @erikaordos, and @z_i_n_n. THE CALIBER OF RISK

“I’m going to build a bed” - Jeffrey Goulet @dfbrl8r presents: THE CALIBER OF RISK Thursday 01 October 2026 6 to 9pm @nonationartlab Tangential Unspace Art Lab 1542 N Milwaukee Ave, 2nd Floor, Chicago, IL 60622 Featuring visiting international artist collective NON GRATA [Estonia] Alongside Chicago artists Jeffrey Goulet Anabelle Lee Dehm Érika Ordos and porn by Jules Zinn @nongrataperformance @bobert_goutlet @anabelleleedehm @z_i_n_n @josephravens How much risk can a body bear? How close can we get to the edge before danger turns into something else: exhilaration, disgust, intimacy, spectacle? The Caliber of Risk brings together artists whose practices test the unstable boundary between control and surrender, attraction and repulsion, safety and peril. Here, risk is not simply something to avoid but something to measure, inhabit, and negotiate. Performance becomes a space where uncertainty is not hypothetical but part of the encounter itself. What happens when the conditions of performance become truly uncertain? Defibrillator Performance Art Gallery gathers Estonia's Non Grata collective and artists from Chicago for a night of live work by artists who understand risk not as an aesthetic pose but as a condition of making and being present. Expect bodies pushed beyond comfort. Witness chaos with intent. Still image capture from @anabelleleedehm
