One of the unexpected gifts of our Alpine Lodge project has been the connections that have grown around it.

I first learnt about this feature in The Age’s Domain Prestige magazine from one of our Byron Bay clients. A friend of our Alpine Lodge clients, she visited the house while we were photographing it, and that experience ultimately led us to working together on her own project.

I made a quick dash to the local newsagent and just managed to find the last two copies.

What I particularly love about this article is that it tells a different story to the others. The photograph selection is unexpected, and Noni Reginato has focused on the conversations, constraints and material decisions that shaped the project, not just the finished spaces.

Thank you to @nonireginato for such a thoughtful piece, to Peter Bennetts for showing the project through a fresh lens, and to our wonderful clients and collaborators for trusting us with such a special home.
