Hey Chat…

I just wanted to share some new music that is incredibly near and dear to my heart. The debut studio album from Des and the Swagmatics is finally here!

This album means the world to me. It’s been a massive part of my musical journey since the very beginning, starting back when I first got into the studio.

As soon as we met, the band trusted me to bring their vision for this record to life in the purest way possible. We spent countless hours in the studio dialing in every take and performance, though honestly it didn’t take much with the stellar cast of musicians that make up this band and its extended family. We were blessed with some incredible horn and string arrangements, powerhouse background vocalists, and even a choir section instructed by Amy Helm!

This whole journey started when I first brought Des into the studio to work with my mentor Ebonie Smith, who taught me so much during our time at Atlantic Studios. Seeing the growth of this band from that exact moment to right now, releasing the project of our dreams, feels like the ultimate full circle moment, especially now that studio has shut down. I’m so beyond blessed to have a production facility in Holmdel, where I grew up, where we were able to finish this project. (BLESSED SAINT SWEET MARY! 🙏)

Thankfully technology has made making music accessible wherever you are. Like I always say, “studio is a state of mind.” ™

From turning the Full Moon Resort barn into a recording studio to making an Ortley Beach house bathroom a vocal booth, this album proves that no matter where we go, we bring the noise.

And you better believe next week we’re going to be making a LOT of noise by the Yurt...
TO ROOOOOOOOTTTSSSS WE GOOOOO!
🏞️🔥🎶
