Symbiosis is back after the summer break and we're taking things in a slightly different direction for our September edition, dialling down the tempo range to explore the world of bass, breaks, rave and jungle, with our guest and residents all switching things up with themed sets!

// Anikonik [Nook / Rinse FM] //

Anikonik's presence in the Scottish bass music scene has been undeniable and unescapable for the past decade; as a founding member of Junglism and a regular guest at nights across Scotland including Junglism, Bass Injection and many more, Anikonik has carved a reputation as a versatile selector with a bag full of razor sharp cuts.

In recent years her love for the lower tempo end of the bass spectrum has led her to found Nook, a new collective aiming to bring 140 bass, dubstep, halftime and jungle to the capital. Anyone who's been to their nights over the last couple of years will know they know how to shake the bass bins, and indeed the walls of The Mash House!

We've asked her to bring the Nook spirit for our Slowdown Session with a 90 minute set covering all things 140-160 - expect some serious low-end pressure from one of the best names in the local scene.
