This was back when I started my @hayleymarshallmusic business. Thanks to COVID-19 I have lost a huge chunk of my income as most of my gigs have been cancelled. I know there are also many more musicians who’ve copped it even worse than me. Through this trying time, I’m going to do my best to keep my head up for you guys and create, record and release music during the time that would have been spent at gigs 🎤 All I ask in return is that you’re especially kind to those around you, think of smaller businesses who, like myself, are struggling, and pump up the live music scene once this shit storm passes. Stay happy and healthy 🤙🏽

In this time of apprehension, it is so important to reflect on the happy moments this year has brought us. My ‘Consistently Inconsistent’ EP Tour was incredible, and to say I am grateful would be an understatement. To all the venues that hosted shows, bands that shared the stage, friends who came out to have a boogie, creatives who helped with sound/media/merch - THANK YOU. I am absolutely full to the brim with humility and appreciation, and I am thinking of you all right now as our creative and hospitality industries are suffering.

Am I scared of what the future holds with this pandemic? Yes. But I know that we will be able to get through this together. Wash your hands, have a little bedroom dance, call your grandparents, devour some pasta, stay alert, support your local artists by listening/sharing their music or buying merch, and please make choices considerate of the vulnerable people in our society. Hopefully soon we will be having more fun times like this, but for now, please stay safe xx 📹: @saltyskiin

Highway Lines is a song about travel. This is a tricky topic to be singing about at a time when countries are closing their borders and airlines are cancelling their flights.
BUT, for us, this song reminds us how lucky are to have been on such great adventures in the past. It also reminds us that we need to take necessary steps now to keep our community safe so that we can all embark on adventures again as soon as possible.
