🔈 CALLING ALL VISUAL ARTISTS! 🔈

We’re on the hunt for one talented artist who can help bring the Not Quite Write Prize to life in 2027!

It’s true, @noraillustrates and @cam.synclair are tough acts to follow, but we’re confident there is another artist out there who can make this role their own!

The (paid) gig involves illustrating 4 artworks to accompany our quarterly Not Quite Write Prize for Flash Fiction prompt drop, based on a brief from us. This opportunity is open to artists aged 18+ all over the world.

A.I. prompters need not apply. This one’s for the humans.

If you’re interested, or if you know someone who might be, you can check out the ‘Articles’ page at notquitewrite.com for more details, including instructions for how to apply.

Please like and share this post to help get the word out to the visual arts community!

We’re excited to introduce our 2026 Artist-in-Residence, Nora Tuck!

Nora Tuck is a Korean-American illustrator based in Georgia, USA, who enjoys bringing stories to life through narrative and character-based artwork. A huge fantasy and mythology lover, she watched the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings one too many times as a kid, so you’ll find no shortage of elves and magic in her pieces.

When Nora isn’t drawing, you’ll find her on a Taekwondo mat, listening to the latest Stray Kids and Taylor Swift albums, obsessing over Demon Slayer, or baking something sweet.

Storytelling and community are at the heart of her work, and she loves getting to bring a little more magic and fun into everyday living. You can keep up with her work on Instagram @noraillustrates

Nora is already working on the prompt artwork for the January round of the competition, and it is 🔥 We can’t wait for you all to see!

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our 2025 Artist-in-Residence @cam.synclair. We think we can all agree that Cam brought a little extra sparkle to each round of the Not Quite Write Prize for Flash Fiction, meeting our sometimes unhinged briefs with flair.

It’s not long until we reveal a little more about what’s in store for the year ahead… It’s guaranteed to be a LOT of fun, so stay tuned for the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow!

In the meantime, we hope you’ll join us in welcoming Nora to the Not Quite Write fold!

📸: @maringutacreative (Marin we love you!!!)

No one in this class likes goodbyes, so we simply won’t tell you goodbye—just a “see you later!”😉

Thank you for hosting us, teaching us, encouraging us, strengthening us, and showing us the love of God in so many ways these past 9 months. We entered Fellows as three women trying to figure out life and serve God, and we’re graduating Fellows as three women trying to figure out life and serve God—with considerably more confidence, direction, knowledge, and friendships. What a blessing to navigate this time in our lives together!

To the next class of Macon Fellows, we wish you God’s joy, peace, and grace as you embrace this city and community! And also luck. You’ll be putting up with Chris’s spontaneous games of Rushmore and concerning amounts of Macon facts for 9 months sooo you’ll need it (jk chris u know we love u king😎). Also, we recommend a late-start Village Coffee Monday roundtable every once in a while for funsies✨

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” - Ephesians 3:20-21
