Postcards from an unforgettable trip to Norway.

A trip for the soul, after a busy summer and UTMB week. Moving slowly through giant, hyper technical, mountains, is just what I needed to recover physically and mentally from the weight of CCC and the build towards it.

The rare sunshine that welcomed us on our first trip up Nesaksla. Suffice to say we were in love with Romsdalen already.

No trip is complete without at least one of us pinning on a bib. Bast got a firsthand taste of what trail running is like in Romsdal. Best you be good at technical running😅

A moody visit to the back side of Troll Wall in the Trolltindene Massif. This gets its name from Norwegian folklore than attributes the dramatic peaks in the massif to the mythical trolls.

Fells appropriate when you’re standing there🧌

Lyra took us on a hike. The views were great, or I imagine they would have been if the clouds disappeared. But the company more than made up for it🌻

Getting ready to celebrate 🤍

There were many afternoons spend in the badstue. Right on the fjord with the best views, you can cold plunge straight after. It took me a few goes before I could fully submerge - it was COLD!

So special to share this trip with so many friends. It made hikes and runs all the more special🫶

First snow of the season!

More sauna/badstue content of me attempting to actually get into the water.

When the wood is wet but you want to braai… a boer (or Frenchman) maak a plan!

High fives for the first section of runnable trail all trip! This truly felt like fairyland. Norway is full of these magical places.

The pre-party, pizza party!

A taste of the most outrageous in the best possible way reception. I’m not sure I’ve ever had so much fun at a wedding! A testament to the people that Petter and Nora are, full of life, love and always ready for a song and a laugh!

The post-party cinnamon buns by the queen herself. Felt very spoilt.

A FLOATING badstue on the edge of the fjord. I must say - the rocking did trigger my seasickness just a bit, but it was worth it. The final session before heading on to the next adventure!

The last dinner. Literally rolled out of here. 10/10 no notes.

scandinavian signs of life. ❤️‍🔥🌸 celebrating @petter_engdahl and @noraserres in norway, city time in copenhagen riding bikes and drinking crazy good coffee, easing back into runs based on what feels good and sounds good, and most of all blasting this song in various rental cars across europe.

Le prochain opposant n’est pas toujours une personne. Parfois, c’est le doute, la peur, les obstacles ou les limites que l’on s’impose. Le véritable combat, c’est celui qui nous pousse à dépasser ce qui semblait impossible.
